Scholarships and Grants
We recommend that students create a personal budget for each academic year of their studies before they start. If the total costs of attending the university cannot be covered, it is possible to apply for a scholarship or a student loan. Scholarships are awards of financial aid that do not need to be paid back. However, student loans must be paid back after the student completes his or her studies. Those interested in applying for either a scholarship or a student loan should contact their cantonal scholarship office or private foundations.

Sino Swiss Science and Technology Co-operation (SSSTC) Internship Grants
The SSSTC is providing a maximum of 20 Internship Scholarships in the People's Republic of China (PRC). A key goal of the internship is to increase participants' intercultural competence and cultural awareness. Furthermore, it will permit the SSSTC to gain more knowledge about private companies and their operations in the PRC, with a view to increasing co-operation in science and technology between Switzerland and the PRC.
FHNW students are eligible to apply as long as they meet the listed requirements. Although many of the posts are targetted at Masters students and also mostly are in the fields of science and technology, there are opportunities for business students. You can find detailed information on the ETH website with the current internships as well as the application procedure. Please not that application is open to Swiss nationals only.
