You are obliged to have a minimum medical coverage for your stay with us. If you are an EU citizen then your EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) suffices (this replaces the E128 and the E111 cards which are no longer accepted). Otherwise you must either have proof of medical insurance from your country which covers any costs incurred in Switzerland or you must buy a medical insurance in Switzerland for the period you are here.

It is advisable to have liability insurance cover as well.  Make sure your insurance policy at home covers you abroad (in case you cause - inadvertently - damage or accidents).
