Public Transport
Basel has an excellent, dense public transport network.
Train
Basel has two main railway stations: the SBB station (which is near the School of Business) and the border train station (Badischer Bahnhof). There are numerous and fast connections both to Swiss and international cities.
From the border station (Badischer Bahnhof), the rail networks in Germany and France can be boarded.
Tram and Bus
Within the city limits, it is best to use the tram and bus network. There are also excellent regional bus services (especially the "yellow" postal buses). Timetables for these can be accessed via the Swiss railway platform.
As Basel is directly at the border to France and Germany, the immediately adjacent cities can also be easily explored: in Lörrach and in St Louis there are public transport networks.
Airport
Basel has an international airport (EuroAirport is actually on French territory and serves all three bordering countries with three passport controls. Within the airport complex you might therefore find yourself crossing borders several times!). From here mostly European cities are serviced often by smaller or economy airlines.
Boat
There are ferry services across the Rhine.
