Exchange: Outgoing

Students enrolled at the FHNW may (or if they are IM students, must) apply for one or two semesters abroad at one of the partner universities. These applications must be made via the International Coordinator of their campus

During the first semester two Information Sessions regarding the FHNW exchange programme are held.  Students are notified per email of the dates and place and it is MANDATORY for students planning to go abroad to attend.

There will be a second Info Session in week 2/3 for outgoing students.

Early in the calendar year Study Abroad Placements (SAPs) are conducted for all Business students across the campuses who wish to go abroad:  here places available are allocated. Students are advised at the Information Session and per email when the placement sessions take place.

Application dossiers (Application Form, ECTS Transcript of Records in English, Learning Agreement and all other documentation required by the host university) are then submitted in full by the deadline set by the host university and always within the FHNW deadline.

It is vitally important that you fully inform yourself of all aspects of your semester abroad yourself.  This includes the application process, the Learning Agreement rules governing your semester abroad, finance, accommodation, visas, insurance, etc.  Please also consult the FAQ below before addressing any questions to the International Office, coordinators etc.
