Katja Manike, Research Assistant

1994 – 2000: Studies in Political Sciences, Biology (main subjects) and German language and literature studies (minor subject) at the Universities of Freiburg i.Br. and Marburg a.d.L (Germany). Master thesis in Political Sciences concerning the political system of Switzerland. Further training in the field of Science Journalism in Berlin (2005-2007) and Statistics and Empirical Social Research at the FernUniversität Hagen (2009 – 2010).

1997-2002: Several working experiences in the field of sustainable development (Center for Biosafety and Sustainability in Basel, Ökoinstitut – Institut for Applied Ecology Freiburg, Germanwatch), freelance for the publishing company Klett.

2002-2009: Research Assistant and deputy Head of a Section in the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) in Berne, Switzerland. Focus points: Health Politics, Legislation, Knowledge and Project Management, Building-up of Expert Networks, Assistance with Evaluations.

Brigitte Eich, Research Assistant

Studies to become a Swiss Qualified Physical Health Instructor and Sports Teacher at the University of Basel (1983-1986) and Tourist Specialist Training at the Tourism Professional School in Siders (1986-1988).
