Executive Master of Business Administration EMBA 

This Master Program is a holistic Management Education. It offers the students about 600 contact lessons of basic knowledge in the core management fields as well as in Social Competence, Methodological Expertise and Self-Competence.

The EMBA Executive Master of Business Administration is also taught in Vietnamese-Swiss Cooperation between the Hanoi School of Business (HSB), the Institute of Business Administration, FPT University (FPTU-IBA) and the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). The FHNW General Management EMBA is a holistic post-graduate management education at the premises of HSB and prepares for the next step of your career: assuming responsibility as an executive leader.

Being „Collaborative Academic Partners“, the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland and Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University offer the EBS MBA Programme together with the FHNW Executive Master (Cross-cultural Leadership) in a Dual Degree Programme, which leads to 95 ECTS.  The career and practice-oriented study programme imparts knowledge in the area of management models and leadership for the international market.

CAS Betriebswirtschaft für Nichtbetriebswirtschafter

People in leadership positions are more and more expected to have a consolidated knowledge in business administration in addition to social competences and expertise. In this CAS program, practitioners in leadership positions from non-profit or profit organisations gain a well-balanced mixture of theoretical and practical knowledge. They learn to recognize and interpret business coherencies.
Additionally, this CAS is also a possible part of the modular "MAS Leadership and Change Management" and of the "MAS Social Management".

CAS Entrepreneurship

CAS Health Management

In this certificate course you will receive the skills for operation, planning and implementation of health and health care programs. You get an insight view how health policy is formulated with relevant stakeholders and you can help to shape it. Block courses allow the integration of the course into your daily workload.

CAS International Management CHINA

This offer is based on an association between the FHNW and the Shanghai Economic Management College (SEMC) within the partnership between the cities of Basel and Shanghai. It combines knowledge about doing business in China with teaching and working in Shanghai, ultimately preparing its participants to be successful in today’s Chinese economy. Teaching takes place in Basel and in Shanghai and includes both a Swiss-European and Chinese perspective. Our partner university, SEMC, organises and conducts an internship of at least three weeks in Shanghai and an additional optional study trip to China. 

CAS Innovationsmanagement

CAS Management of Medical Units

This management training for medical personnel combines business, health economic and political aspects. Participants learn the basics about management and organization and get an insight into the medical specific corporate culture. Another basic knowledge taught is in the areas of financial and project management, marketing, personnel management, self and stress management as well as in health policy and health economics.

Erarbeiten Businessplan/Business-Case
Der Lehrgang vermittelt Ihnen die zentralen betriebswirtschaftlichen Methoden und Instrumente der Unternehmensführung. Sie erarbeiten Ihren persönlichen, marktreifen Businessplan. Mittels Fallstudien, Gruppenarbeiten und Rollenspielen stärken Sie Ihre Führungspersönlichkeit.
