Duration

The study programme lasts three years in full-time mode and four years in part-time mode.
In the full-time mode, the initial assessment stage as well as the semester abroad must be completed in full-time mode; otherwise it is possible to study at an individual pace.

Degrees Students are awarded a state-accredited Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (International Management).

Experience Abroad

For full-time students it is mandatory to complete one semester abroad (semester 3) at a partner university.
Part-time students are required to gain comparable experience (e.g. Semester abroad, Internship, Summer School).

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have a Professional Baccalaureate (Berufsmatura) in a business-related field. Alternatively, a general Baccalaureate (Swiss gymnasiale Matura or equivalents from other countries) is accepted if accompanied by at least one year of documented professional experience in a business field.  Full table of entry requirements here.

Language Requirements A high proficiency in the English language is recommended. (Regular requirements for entry to a Swiss University of Applied Sciences apply so additional proof of English competency is not mandatory. However, the minimum level required in this academic environment is equal to TOEFL IBT 78, IELTS 6.5, FCE/BEC Vantage Grade A, CAE/BEC Higher, B2/C1 (European Framework of Reference).
Application Deadline The programme starts mid-September each year. There is no official deadline but places are generally filled by spring so applicants are advised to apply early.  Applications are processed as they arrive.
Fees
  • FHNW registration fee CHF 200.-
  • Programme tuition fee CHF 700.- per semester
  • Materials CHF 100.- per semester
  • Diploma fee CHF 300.-
  • Entrance examination fee (if required) CHF 200.-
Locations

Full-time courses are taught in Olten, part-time courses in Brugg-Windisch . Some courses (majors, minors, electives) take place at any of the School of Business campus sites (Basel , Brugg, Olten)
