An intensive business seminar especially designed for a group of professors and lecturers from various Canadian universities took place for the first time in July 2008. The Canadian Academics Studying Europe (CASE) provides the professors of the business schools with an insight not only into the current business environment in Switzerland and Europe but also into business education here.

The 12-day seminar, lead by Prof Robert Buttery, took the academics to Paris, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Zurich, Interlaken, Bern and Geneva. They received input presentations and lectures from experts on marketing, European law and strategies. The tourism and banking industries were closely studied, as well as the Swiss political and edcuation systems.
