The task of the Competence Center Business & IT Alignment is the spreading of best practices on the topic of how to adjust the ICT strategy to the global enterprise strategy. This task it fulfills on the one hand theoretically in the Bachelor course of studies on information systems of the FHNW, and on the other hand practically in its dealings with SMEs, which require a specific consultation.

The conception, the conversion and the optimal application of an ICT architecture, which corresponds to the real requirements of business reality, belong more than ever to the strategic tasks, to which the top management must dedicate itself. The Competence Center Business & IT Alignment investigates and researches strategies, methods and tools, which can help an enterprise to implement its own ICT infrastructure in such a way that the business strategy, the specific compliance requirements and the relevant security issues together generate a lasting increase in value.
