This module deals with current topics in knowledge management. A
focus will be on technical and didactical methods for knowledge sharing
and the integration of knowledge management into daily work. The
content includes business process oriented knowledge management,
communities, technologies supporting organisational approaches for
knowledge management, learning and maturing processes in enterprises,
natural language processing and services to analyse knowledge sharing,
communication and distribution. The theory presented in the module will
be applied in small projects.

change management; main terms like "knowledge management", "Web 2.0"
and "social software"; objectives and success factors of KM; most
important and newest KM methods and tools; benefits of KM for the
organisation; trends in KM with focus on Web 2.0 and Open Source;
connection between KM and virtual teamwork; main terms like "teamwork",
"virtual teamwork" and "e-collaboration"; theoretical and practical
knowledge in the usage of collaborative, Internet-based tools (e.g.
social software); cases with focus on benefits and challenges of
Internet-based teamwork; current and future trends in the field of
virtual teamwork.

e-learning trends and its relevance for daily business; development of
didactical e-learning scenarios; development of e-learning strategies
and concepts; critical analysis of e-learning cases; development of an
own e-learning business case.
