Research and Innovation

Applied Research is an important element for know-how development in the Master of Science in Business Information Systems. Lecturers of FHNW do research in cooperation with international research institutes as well as regional, national and international enterprises, thus ensuring the transfer of research results into practice.

The students benefit from these experiences when working on their own projects:

  • Innovation Thinking Project
  • Master Thesis

In close cooperation with their supervisors the students gain new insights and develop innovative concepts for the use information systems as a means to improve performance and competitiveness of enterprises.

In their own research projects students learn how to expand the current state of practice and to aspire towards new solutions. This opens their mind for bringing up-to-date concepts into practice and thus be the driver for innovation in their enterprises.

Our Master Theses Library shows the great diversity of student works on the interface between business and information technology.
