Petersburg Uni: Guest Lectures and Cooperation Agreement

A delegation from the Business School of the State University of Petersburg will visit Olten in March to negotiate final details regarding a post-graduate cooperation between the two schools.  During this visit, the Russian professor Grigory Feiguine will lecture to students on the topic of Russia as an economic partner for Switzerland.

An initial Memorandum of Understanding was signed during a visit of Business School Director Prof Dr Ruedi Nützi and Institute Director Prof Dr Guy Ochsenknecht (Human Resource Management and Organisation) in November last year. The partners agreed to jointly stage an executive Masters specialised in Human Resource Management which is analogue to the current Master of Advanced Studies in HRM offered by the School of Business here.

HRM lecturers will teach  some courses in Petersburg and the final theses of both Russian and Swiss students will be jointly assessed by professors from both schools. It is also hoped that the Petersburg students will travel to Switzerland for a study block towards the end of the programme. The details of the cooperation will be further negotiated and a contract signed during the delegation visit from March 25-27.
