Overview Technical communication is a means to convey scientific, engineering, or other technical information about processes or products directed to a targeted audience through various forms of media.

It encompasses writing texts, creating graphics, examining documents for usability, and much more.

The module enables students to express themselves effectively and efficiently on technical topics in English in a variety of contexts.
Learning objectives Upon successful completion of the module, participants can/will:

  • appreciate the reiterative writing process and use it effectively
  • build skills such as information literacy through research of technical topics and use of authentic information
  • plan and conduct an interview in English
  • evaluate their own written communication and provide feedback on their peer’s communication
  • express themselves effectively and with a degree of confidence in both spoken and written English.
Previous knowledge Entry based on placement test or successful completion of e4/ten2. Language level C1 or above.
