Bio Feedback Lab
The BioFeedback lab offers the opportunity to make the fundamentals of infrastructure visible and observable. It is outfitted with networked hardware and software systems that are ready to communicate with one another.
Hardware Input
- BioFeedback Sensor system: Nexus. This allows it to measure heart rates, breathing and Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) with medical precision.
- Sensor system: i-CubeX. This permits measurement of an extremely broad range of physical quantities, including bio-feedback, direction, acceleration, pressure, etc.
- Wii, which uses a physical interface for interaction and spatial tracking
Hardware Output
- PC monitors and TV screens
- Dolby Surround Sound System
- HMD, Head Mounted Display (eMagin, Z800 3D visor) are used for immersive applications
- Lego Mindstorm, serves as physical actuator and indicator
Software
- Max/MSP/Jitter is used for the development of user interfaces and real-time data processing for audio, video and 3D
- Virtools is a 3D authoring tool for game development and VR/AR environments
- Flash serves as the software interface and 2D GUI
- Ableton is used for real-time audio processing
