Jean-Benoit Lévy

    Jean-Benoit Lévy. Swiss/American. Visual communicator who has been active since 1983 in Switzerland after his studies at the Basel Kunstgewerbeschule with teachers such as Wolfgang Weingart, Armin Hofmann, Max Schmidt, André Gürtler. In 1988 he opened in Basel his Studio and where he art-directed a flexible team, the size of which varies according to the clients. From postage stamp (A-Stamp) to coin design, from street posters to book design, from logo to corporate identities (iwb, Amnesty International Switzerland, Pro Helvetia), from private projects (Handbook) to clients assignments, his professional experience is wide. His work has been awarded in international competitions and published in books and magazines. Since 1991 Jean-Benoit has taught regularly and gave lectures about his work in various schools in Europe, Japan and United States. He has been a member of agi (Alliance Graphique Internationale) since 1998. In 2005 Jean-Benoit definitely closed his studio in Basel to concentrate on his career in San Francisco where he works with his wife and partner Claudia Dallendörfer.
