Image Lab: A collaboration of eikones, NCCR Iconic Criticism, and the Academy of Art and Design FHNW, Visual Communication Institute.

The iconicity of ornament is the object of an applied experiment in this year’s Image Lab. The collaboration between members of eikones and students of the Academy of Art and Design, Visual Communication Institute, offers for the third time the opportunity to examine methods and issues of image theory through the design of images. Employing design as means to knowledge about the effects of images in order to gather further experience in this research approach was incorporated from the very start in the objective of this collaboration.
