Exchange and mobility
The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) is a participant in the European exchange programme "Swiss European Mobility Programme" (Erasmus+ / transitional solution). This programme supports students in their semesters and internships abroad as part of their studies, and facilitates lecturer exchanges as well as the continuing education of university staff within the European area. The numerous partnerships of the FHNW with European higher education institutions provide the opportunity to gain international experience and intercultural competence.
The "Swiss-European Mobility Programme": Following the suspension of negotiations regarding Switzerland’s association to Erasmus+, the Federal Council tasked the EAER with drawing up an interim solution for 2014. The interim solution supports mobility activities based on bilateral agreements financially and organizationally.
Switzerland contributes substantially to the positioning of European education and research as a whole and is willing to ensure that this success continues. The stated aim remains a full association to “Erasmus+”.
