Switzerland has a long and successful tradition within an international context: its watch industry, its banking system or its humanitarian role as mediator.

The educational philosophy of the FHNW is committed to furthering and developing this international and human culture in the fields of research and development as well as in academic teaching and learning. It belongs to a national and international network of partner universities. Its nine Schools maintain bilateral contracts with nearly 200 leading universities in the European Union and around the world, facilitating student and faculty exchange and fostering joint research projects.

We welcome students to combine a first-class education with a stay in this country of cultural diversity with four national languages.
