Informationen für International
Dear Students
We welcome you to the University of Applied Sciences, Northwestern Switzerland (Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW). This university is one of the largest in Switzerland with four campuses, 6 500 undergraduate students and nine departments. One of these departments, the School of Life Sciences, is located in the centre of the internationally leading Life Sciences region, the trinational Basel area (Switzerland – France – Germany). The density of pharmaceutical and medical technology companies as well as private and state research centres and the geographic location in the trinational BioValley represent important advantages of this region. The School of Life Sciences also benefits greatly from these conditions.
During your stay with us, you can expect to experience the school’s global orientation, a modern campus with sections in Basel and Muttenz, an excellent professor/student ratio and a state-of-the-art education based on new technologies and their applications.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at our school.
Prof. Dr Gerda Huber
Director School of Life Sciences
