The School of Life Sciences is located in the centre of the internationally leading Life Sciences region, the trinational Basel area (Switzerland – France – Germany). The density of pharmaceutical and medical technology companies as well as private and state research centres and the location in the trinational BioValley represent important advantages of this region. The School of Life Sciences benefits greatly from these conditions.

Lectures and research at the School of Life Sciences are comparable with international standards and we facilitate transdisciplinarity as well as cooperation between networks and numerous partners. It is our aim to supply this most fascinating area, life sciences, with application opportunities in free enterprise and to establish, together with research partners, a distinctive international reputation for this school.

Our staff consist of science and industry specialists who deal with life sciences technological trends and work with the most modern infrastructures on various projects from and with the life sciences industry respectively. Through our researchers and students we supply concrete assistance to bridge the cliff between top life sciences research and the practical application thereof.
