General Formalities
Applying to study at the School of Life Sciences
ERASMUS students follow the normal procedures via the International Office at their local university (Application Form, Learning Agreement, ECTS Transcript of Records). Students from universities with which the School of Life Sciences has an agreement, do not need to pay tuition fees. Any additional costs (textbooks, excursions, notebook) must be borne by the student. Registration runs via the international coordinator of the local university. Overseas students with Swiss Nationality qualify for Swiss subsidies. Other overseas students must bear the full tuition costs.
Study fees
Exchange students within the ERASMUS programme or within a bilateral agreement of our university with a partner institution are normally exempt from study frees.
Grants
Incoming ERASMUS students usually qualify for a monthly grant of CHF 200-250 per month. They should contact their local university office to inquire whether they qualify for grants.
Application deadline
For autumn/fall semester (week 38 - week 2 of the following year): 15 May
For spring semester (week 8 - week 24): 15 November
