Public administrations and private enterprise, non-profit organisations and social networks must all rise to the challenge of continuous social, political and economic change. They are confronted with deregulation, administrative reforms, cooperation obligations, and an increasingly critical environment.

These challenges demand holistic and continuous adjustment and legimitation on all levels. First, the effects of the professional action taken by individuals and organisations, politics and public administration in local, regional, national and international contexts need to be analysed and rendered more effective. Secondly, situation-specific solutions to strongly varying qualitative and quantitative demands and framework conditions within the force field of society, politics, state, markets, and informal networks need to be developed. Such endeavours require the involvement of and interaction between various different perspectives and actors. Moreover, market and customer-oriented management need to be interlinked with professional (social work) principles against the background of social policy decisions.

Our staff brings its expertise to the BA / MA Social Work modules and provides a range of continuing education, consultancy and development services:

• State-certified and internationally recognised further qualifications in Social Management, Psychosocial Management, Coaching and Brief Therapy, and a range of specialist seminars
• Development and consultancy based on our «Social Impact Management» model: needs analyses, mission statement development, impact evaluation
• Social business plans and implementing new (advisory and counselling) concepts
• Information and advice on establishing social firms and enabling access to the association Arbeitsgemeinschaft Schweizer Sozialfirmen ASSOF
• Workshop and large-group moderation in various contexts
