Content | Innovation can be understood as the successful implementation of new solutions to extant (e.g., social) problems. It is central to the longer-term survival of organizations. Accordingly, innovation management - i.e., the target-oriented planning, implementation, and control of the innovation process - is of central importance. In this competence, students acquire a basic understanding of innovation and innovation management. Against this backdrop, students acquire knowledge of established innovation methods and tools and apply these methods to develop a new product. In addition, this competence addresses how digitalization is changing the conditions, dynamics, and management of innovation and which new tools, including "data science", are becoming available. |
