BSc Betriebsökonomie

Generalist knowledge for future leaders

Studying business administration will help you acquire generalist knowledge through a programme that is both academic and geared to practice. Your studies will prepare you for tasks in management, finance and accounting, marketing and sales, organisation and organisational development, human resources and education, IT and purchasing as well as production and logistics. A focus on practice, interdisciplinary thinking, communication, foreign languages and international experience are all important features of this programme.

One-third of the content of the programme can be chosen by the students: a range of elective modules make it possible to tailor your studies to your individual needs from the first semester onwards.

The campus being easy to reach was an important reason for my decision.

Career profile and opportunities

The broad-based undergraduate programme in interdisciplinary and joined-up thinking will equip you for work in all fields of business. You will also be specialised in one particular subject area.
After your FH studies you will be a well-qualified employee with a keen eye for the complex interdependencies of a company. Your degree will put you on a par with university graduates, or will even give you the edge due to your practice-focused studies and work experience.

The programme is divided into the assessment stage (semesters 1 and 2) and the main programme (semesters 3 and above).

The basics of business administration are taught at the assessment stage. In the main programme each student’s course portfolio is made up of a combination of specialist and generalist modules from a range of subject options. In the last two semesters students study their chosen major in depth. Practice projects and a bachelor’s thesis serve to complete their studies.
