The usability laboratory at the FHNW School of Applied Psychology in Olten gives companies, organisations and universities flexible opportunities to evaluate and design the usability of hardware and software products. Scientific expertise from occupational, organisational and business psychology are brought together in this working process.

The staff at the FHNW School of Applied Psychology have many years of specialist knowledge and a great deal of methodological expertise in the field of usability. Specialists from the following institutions can be easily called in via the FHNW’s “Usability and user experience skills network” (Das Kompetenznetzwerk Usability und User Experience FHNW) if needed:

  • FHNW School of Art and Design
  • FHNW School of Business
  • FHNW School of Engineering
  • FHNW School of Education

The laboratory has two small and one large test room for different scenarios of human-machine interaction or virtual collaboration across various sites. The contracting parties can follow the tests live in their own observation room.

The usability laboratory is located on the first floor of the Sälipark building, Louis Giroud Strasse 26.
