Deniz Tosoni is a bachelors student at FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, School of Life Sciences, obtaining his degree in biomedical informatics in fall 2019. Deniz is eager to pursue further education in the field of bioinformatics and starts his masters course at FHNW in Medical Informatics after graduating. After obtaining the Matura in Switzerland, Deniz finished an apprenticeship as application developer at UBS AG, where he worked in the eBanking backend sector as a mainframe developer, giving him broad knowledge about banking and payment systems, as well as some insight into information security.
Teyfik Agac is a B.S. student of Medical Informatics at the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, School of Life Sciences. He is currently in his sixth semester of studies and will graduate in September 2019. As continuation of his studies, he is going to do the M.S. in Medical Informatics at the FHNW. He is currently working on his bachelor thesis creating a framework to grade the quality of real-world data. Teyfik has achieved his university entrance qualification by graduating at the Fachmittelschule (FMS) and a one-year internship at the Institute of Pathology of the University Hospital Basel prior to his BS. In the internship he was able to acquire knowledge and skills in microbiological practice. He is aiming to combine his background in biology and medical informatics to approach future challenges.
