As a trained Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist (CPT) Damian has technical as well as bioprocess related skills. After different positions within a GMP manufacturing site for monoclonal antibodies, Damian has internalized behavior as well as process execution and documentation in a GMP regulated environment. These skills were applied and consolidated during commissioning, plant qualification and production process validation at Roche Basel.
During the studies of biotechnology with specialization in bioprocess engineering at ZHAW, Damian extended his knowledge in various scientific and technical topics. The thesis was focused on process implementation for biological plant characterization in collaboration with Sartorius and DECHEMA.
After graduation Damian joined INFORS-HT, a leading supplier for upstream equipment. As an Area Sales Manager he gained experience in acquisition and implementation of projects in the life science and pharmaceutical industry. As Product Manager/Owner Damian added experience in agile project management as well as in software validation.
His current role as Innovation Manager at INFORS-HT and Scientific Assistant at the FHNW combines development of upstream equipment as project manager and applied bioprocess knowledge in the bioprocess technology laboratory. The interface between device and bioprocess and their optimization is Damian’s passion. His research at FHNW is focused on development and optimization of bioprocesses for plasmids, proteins and Adeno Associated Viruses (AAV).
