Bettina Schneider Presents Swiss-Africa Cybersecurity Community at Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building(GC3B)

Bettina Schneider took part as a delegate in the Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building (GC3B) held in Geneva on 14th of May, where she led a spotlight session to present the newly launched Swiss-Africa Cybersecurity Community.
The session introduced the goals and vision of the community, which seeks to promote meaningful collaboration between Switzerland and African countries in the field of cybersecurity. Designed as a platform for knowledge exchange, joint initiatives, and capacity building, the Swiss-Africa Cybersecurity Community was met with strong interest from participants across academia, government, and the private sector. Numerous new contacts were established with stakeholders eager to engage further with the initiative.
During the conference, Bettina also had the opportunity to connect with leading figures in the global cybersecurity community. A particular highlight was the session hosted by Luanda Domi, which focused on co-creating an inclusive and future-ready cyber workforce—an inspiring and forward-looking discussion that resonated with many participants.
Under the theme “Rethink – Evolve – Anticipate,” GC3B 2025 challenged participants to move beyond traditional approaches and take bold, collaborative steps to strengthen global cyber resilience. Trusted international standards and frameworks, such as those developed by CREST, were highlighted as critical elements for achieving sustainable and secure digital transformation worldwide.
Bettina expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to represent the Swiss-Africa Cybersecurity Community at this important global forum and looks forward to building on the momentum generated in Geneva.
