๐ŸŽ“ Congratulations to Michaela Maintz!

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Michaela Maintz, a former student and now doctoral graduate with deep roots in our Institute of Medical Engineering and Medical Informatics at the FHNW School of Life Sciences Muttenz.

On June 24, 2025, Michaela successfully defended her PhD dissertation at the Biozentrum, University of Basel with the highest honors โ€“ summa cum laude.
Her research focused on a forward-looking topic in personalized healthcare:

๐Ÿฆพ The development and biomechanical validation of patient-specific implants, with an emphasis on automating the design process to enable more efficient and individualized treatment solutions.

Having completed both her Bachelorโ€™s and Masterโ€™s degrees with us, Michaelaโ€™s academic journey reflects a continuous commitment to excellence and innovation in medical technology.
