Information about the bridging programme

The bridging programme serves as a bridge to the recognition of teaching diplomas. It enables participants to gain experience in school practice (work shadowing and internships) and to reflect on this experience in a safe space. A comprehensive language course at level C1/C2 and further training elements on the Swiss education system serve to facilitate the transfer to the Swiss context. The programme supports teachers with refugee experience in meeting the requirements for recognition of their foreign teaching diploma. If the requirements for recognition are not met (if you do not have a full, unrestricted teaching diploma), the bridging programme supports participants in starting a course of study at the University of Teacher Education. The course of study can be regular or shortened. The bridging programme is a one-year course.

Please be aware that you need at least a GER B2 diploma to register for the bridge programme.
