  • Lee A. Aase

    Director of the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network, which provides training resources, educational and networking events and a collaboration platform for health care professionals who want to safe-ly and effectively apply social and digital strategies to fight disease, promote health and improve health care. Lee also leads Mayo Clinic’s Social & Digital Innovation team, which manages Mayo Clinic’s presence on general purpose social networks like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter as well as its owned blog and community platform.

    Prior to Mayo Clinic in 2000, Lee spent more than a decade in political and government communications at the local, state and federal level. He was elected to Mayo Clinic’s Voting Staff in 2016.

Colleen Young, founder of CY Connect, is internationally known for building patient communities that thrive. As Community Director for Mayo Clinic Connect, a virtual community connecting patients with each other and to Mayo Clinic medical expertise, Colleen believes online connectivity is arguably the most exciting innovation of patient-led health era. As a tenacious connector of patients, Colleen demonstrates how an active community, strategically managed, can re-imagine health care and improve health outcomes.
  • Farris Timimi, MD

    Farris Timimi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, and a Consultant in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic. He serves as Medical Director for the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network. He also serves as the Program Director for the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship Program. In addition, Dr. Timimi is an Associate Medical Director for Mayo Clinic Provider Relations. Dr. Timimi received his bachelor’s and medical degrees from East Tennessee State University. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri; his fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School; and a separate fellowship in Interventional Vascular Radiology, Vascular Medicine, and Vascular Ultrasound at Mayo Clinic. In addition to provider engagement and the professional application of social media to health care, Farris is an advocate for the Mayo Clinic model of care and for the application of social media in health care education, research and practice.
  • Audrey Laine Seymour

    Social Media Marketing Manager, Nemours; External Advisory Board Member, Mayo Clinic Health System. MBA,Member of the External Advisory Board of the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network. As Social Media Marketing Manager for Nemours Children’s Health System, she oversees social media strategy and accounts for two children’s hospitals and four pediatric specialty care clinics in Florida and Dela-ware, USA. Prior to her current position, she was a social media specialist at Mayo Clinic.
  • Dr David Grayson, MD

    Clinical Director of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at North Shore Hospital. Clinical Director of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at North Shore Hospital, Waitemata District Health Board in Auckland, New Zealand. He is also Clinical Lead for Patient Safety & Patient Experience and works closely with the i3 Institute for Innovation and Improvement on programs in these domains. David promotes the use of digital health technologies including social media in all aspects of his work. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and member of the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network External Advisory Board.
  • Ashok Patel, MD

    Dr. Ashok Patel is an active clinical consultant and educator in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Patel draws on three decades of experience focused around the integrated care of people with asthma, COPD and other complex pulmonary disorders. He is increasingly engaged in inter-professional education and community-building through Mayo Clinic’s Science of Healthcare delivery, Ask Mayo Expert, Rotary International, Sigma Xi, Salvation Army, Scouting, ACCP and American Thoracic Society (eg. Global scholar program). In 2014, Dr. Patel was invited to serve as one of 65 civilian participants to the US Army War College Commander’s National Security Program. His local & global interests center around the application of compassion, complexity science and human systems dynamics to high value team-based care and sustainable development. He is committed to helping the world and its people breathe easier, collaborate, and stay inspired to doing the most good (at all stages of altruism and need).
  • Andreas Eigenmann

    Geschäftsführer der PR- und Kommunikationsagentur Eigenmann Unternehmenskommunikation. He began his career as a communication trainer at the military Academy ETH Zurich. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics Studies and Political Science from the University of Zurich. He is the owner of the communication agency Eigenmann Corporate Communication. As a consultant and communication trainer he has clients from the private and public sector.Appointed diplomats for example sharpen their communication competencies in the form of argumentation and networks. In 2015, addition to these trainings at the FDFA and within the scope of a public invitation to tender a proposal, Eigenmann Corporate Communication, purposed to the Swiss Federal Personnel Office (EPA), a multi-year mandate for communication training in the Federal Administration.

Head of pilot postgraduate program CAS Digital Communication and Social Media in Health Care at School of Business, FHNW. Bronze member of the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network, member of the Swiss Communication and Marketing Association of Public Health. She advocates the use of social media as an integral part of overall hospital strategy.
