Students Council Business
The students council represents the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at all locations. It is active at all levels of the FHNW. It participates in shaping the university, represents the voice of the students and tackles problems directly with the management. In addition, the student council organises parties, sports events, barbecues and discounts for students.
When you register for your studies, you are automatically accepted into the organisation. You have the right to vote and be actively involved in projects. The student representatives are always looking for delegates to help shape the course of your studies.
ESN (Erasmus Student Network)
ESN is a European-wide student organization, with more than 500 sections in 42 countries, created to support student exchange. The aims of ESN are to promote the social and personal integration of the exchange students. The network organises trips, parties, gatherings and discounts for students on a regular basis to make sure that the exchange students have the best time of their lives.
Your FH-Card serves as your key, library card, photocopying card, means of payment and you benefit from various discounts in your everyday life.
Software
As an FHNW student you have free access to a range of software that is relevant for your studies and free access to the Microsoft 365 suite and all content on LinkedIn Learning.
Project Neptune
Project Neptune offers selection of laptops, tablets and accessories at a reduced price. Hardware can be ordered during sales windows before the start of the autumn and spring semesters.
The University Sports FHNW offers a varied programme. FHNW students can also take part in the Basel University Sports programme free of charge.
We offer an attractive and diverse programme. You also get discounts for various offers in sports shops as well as for classes in fitness centres.
The FHNW Merchandise Shop offers a small fine selection of caps, shirts and hoodies in discreet FHNW branding.
