Swiss and South African Payment Systems and Cybersecurity Training

Preparing Swiss Business Trainers for Switzerland’s and Africa’s Digital Future

A pioneering program on cybersecurity, digital payments, and compliance across Switzerland and South Africa.

The Swiss and South African Payment Systems and Cybersecurity Training project (SwissAfricaPayCyber) is an online platform with a 7 Week Train-the-Trainer Program and course package for Swiss business trainers, linking payment systems, cybersecurity, and compliance in South Africa and Switzerland.

The Challenge

Cybersecurity is no longer confined by borders. As Swiss startups and SMEs expand into high-growth regions within Africa, they face not only new opportunities, but also unfamiliar digital risks.

South Africa, one of Africa’s leading economies, offers advanced and locally adapted digital payment systems. At the same time, businesses must navigate complex regulatory frameworks and evolving cyber threats.

Yet today, many Swiss business trainers and educators are not fully equipped to prepare companies for these challenges.

What This Project Does

SwissAfricaPayCyber combines Swiss and South African expertise to equip Swiss business trainers with skills in cybersecurity and digital payment systems.

Through our interactive 7 Week Train-the-Trainer Program, we equip participants with:

  • Knowledge of digital payment systems in Switzerland and South Africa
  • Understanding of cybersecurity risks in international contexts
  • Insights into compliance and regulatory environments
  • Practical tools to integrate these topics into their own programs
