What to expect:

The module deals with the future of work. It identifies and examines in depth the challenges and opportunities associated with developing and shaping a sustainable, innovative and solidarity-based working life. The focus can be on both normal employment relationships in companies in the context of the transformation of the world of work and employment relationships that are associated with specific challenges, such as health and illness, difficult access to the labour market, or further training and qualification.

For the module, companies and organisations will identify current challenges in relation to the future fields of New Work, Future Health and Zero Emission and identify challenges to be addressed. These will be worked on by international teams as part of the module. The aim is to orientate oneself in the topic on a research-based basis and to explore the topic in depth. During the design phase, concrete solutions for addressing selected challenges will be developed, tested and implemented in collaboration with practitioners.

Possible solutions are examined with regard to the dimensions of sustainability, innovation and solidarity. To this end, you will deal with the various dimensions in depth, learn to systematically link them together on the basis of practical tasks and contribute to the development of practical solutions.

Preparation and follow-up will be organised in a hybrid format (on-site and online via Teams). It is important that you accept the Microsoft Teams invitation from the module coordinator in good time and regularly check your messages on Microsoft Teams. All materials and results will also be uploaded here. During the block week, you must have access to a laptop or tablet in order to be able to work.

Assessment:

Module with compulsory attendance (on site or online), working through preparatory literature, creating a learning diary and giving presentations

Module evaluation:

pass/ fail (2-point scale)
