HPC Lab
The HPC Lab supports research and development projects in several aspects of high performance computing.
Mission
We offer expertise and infrastructure in the field of high-performance computing (HPC) for demanding applications, particularly in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and simulation-based processes. This includes the use and research of novel HPC accelerators (e.g., GPUs, DPUs, and specialized accelerator architectures), energy-efficient and sustainable computing with low-energy devices, and high-throughput computing.
The HPC Lab supports research and development projects in the efficient use of modern computing architectures, scaling of algorithms, system-level simulations, and experimentation with new, resource-saving technologies — from prototypes to production-ready scenarios.
The Calculon Cluster
Our Calculon Cluster is a self-managed HPC cluster for both HPC research and production projects in AI and data science. It is equipped with heterogeneous GPU nodes from several generations, including latest NVidia H200.
