Hanspeter Schmid has become a member of the SymPy development team

SymPy is a Python library for doing symbolic mathematics. It is developed by many volounteers, led by a core team. Hanspeter Schmid, an analog-IC and signal-processing professor at ISE, was asked to become part of the core team of SymPy.

Prix Bartholdi for Simon Burkhardt

Our MSE student, Simon Burkhardt, did a semester abroad with internship at Linköping University. With his internship report he won the second prize at the “Prix Bartholdi”.

Swiss Aerosol Award 2022 for Nadine Karlen

For her work on the DustEar project, Nadine Karlen of the ISE received the Swiss Aerosol Award 2022, one of the most important Swiss awards for aerosol researchers. Nadine Karlen was a Master student at the ISE and now works as a research assistant at the ISE.

Team-Event 2022 on the Jungfraujoch

The ISE traveled to the Jungfraujoch for its team event. Our destination was not only the tourist “Top of Europe”, but also the research station with ISE’s contribution to aerosol research.
