One of the activities of July was Giulia Manfredini’s research trip to two key libraries in the region of Veneto, in Italy: the Biblioteca Bertoliana in Vicenza and the Biblioteca Marciana in Venice. The purpose of the trip was to consult musical manuscripts related to the 18th-century environment in Padua. The research produced useful results for the topic of Giulia’s dissertation, which has its focus on the teaching of composition within the School of Nations, but that is not all. The trip was also the opportunity to inaugurate the very practical Scantent! Possibly one of the most user-friendly scans, it lets you take pictures directly with your smartphone, quickly and with uniform light and distance. And you pack it with you as a miniature camping tent.
