Significant reductions in non renewable resources consumption and environmental impacts and a shift to renewable resources are still required to achieve the goals of a green and circular economy. The system thinking approach Industrial Ecology (IE) aims to close and reduce material and energy cycles within the boundaries of an industrial metabolism. The goal of the proposed project is to identify and systematically assess resources efficiency improvement options in selected areas of relevant Lithuanian industrial sectors.
