This specialisation provides students with the tools and techniques they need to master complex international financial management challenges, including decisions on debt and equity financing, capital allocation, risk management and treasury management, controlling and planning, value-based management decisions and strategic business decisions. Upon completion of the specialisation, students will be able to answer the following questions: How does the capital structure of a company influence strategic decisions? Does the overall financing strategy of a company help the company to maximize its value? How does a company minimize financial risk? What are the main functions of the treasury department? How can a company evaluate the value of a particular strategic financial decision? Are there wasteful expenses for a particular project and company? What are the challenges for the financial industry and do you think your position could be impacted?

The students will gain practical insights into the tasks and responsibilities of the finance and treasury departments and understand the importance of these core business functions for the long-term success of a company. The following topics are covered in detail:
