TriRhenaTech was launched in 2014 by five partners in Germany, France and Switzerland and now includes 20 universities specialising in engineering, architecture and management in the Upper Rhine region. The aim of the alliance is to facilitate a collective approach to sharing knowledge, research, development and technology in the field of applied sciences in the trinational metropolitan region.

Network for researchers

Thanks to the large number of participating and affiliated scientists, TriRhenaTech is a unique, international network for applied sciences in the Upper Rhine region. The way in which these institutions’ research topics complement one another and are integrated into the local SME network enable researchers within this network to develop innovations that are geared towards the actual requirements in the Upper Rhine region.

Offers for students

The TriRhenaTech alliance offers a number of opportunities for students, including bi- or trinational degree programmes, an international summer school and a trinational robotics competition.

Management

The alliance’s management board consists of President of the Board of Directors of FHNW Crispino Bergamaschi, Alliance Spokesman and Director of the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées Strasbourg Marc Renner and Rector of the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg Winfried Lieber.
