The digital transformation of our societies and economies has led to a tremendous increase of data available for businesses.Hence, it must be the goal of any business to collect and/or purchase good data and to gain valuable knowledge from it. For this purpose, managers must master quantitative and qualitative empirical methods yielding direct first hand data and solid knowledge from its analysis. In Empirical Methods and Business Analytics students will learn the processes, methods and tools necessary to collect data and extract value from data. Students will be able to use quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques for the analysis of (big) data and text systematically in order to support business decision-making.
