What is Business Information Technology?

As a business informatics specialist, you work at the interface between business, information technology and innovation. You speak the language of business as well as the language of information technology. Your communication skills allow you to bridge the gap between the two fields. You hold discussions with all the Stakeholders and recognise their needs and requirements. You are also familiar with the challenges and processes of companies. At the same time, you know the technical possibilities of information technology and digitalisation. In this way, you ensure optimal interaction and actively participate in the further development and optimisation of your company.

How to adapt your studies to your needs

You can choose a full-time or part-time study programme. You choose the topics of about one third of the study modules individually. These include student research projects, elective modules and the specialisation. By choosing a specialisation, you focus either on the technical, analytical or management-oriented aspects of business informatics and specialise in the corresponding subject area.
