Dreifacher Erfolg am John Cage Award 2023 in Halberstadt
Antonio Jiménez Marín, Jacob Mason und Ignat Khlobystin gewinnen den 1. Preis respektive den 2. ex aequo am John Cage Award 2023! Wir gratulieren ihnen herzlich zu dieser wichtigen Auszeichnung!
Antonio schloss anfangs Jahr sein Musikpädagogik-Studium in der Posaunen-Klasse von Mike Svoboda ab, Ignat (Flöte) studiert im MA SP Open Creation (Klasse Andrea Neumann) und Jacob (Klavier) im MA SP Zeitgenössische Musik (Klasse Sarah Maria Sun und Mike Svoboda).
It was an amazing experience to be able to play in Halberstadt and to see the 639-year-long performance of Cage's Organ2/ASLSP. When I first arrived in Basel during the COVID-19 pandemic, the note of the performance was changed while I was in quarantine and unable to travel. Now, three years later, it was so beautiful to listen to the performance and then to share the stage with my wonderful colleagues. It's such an honor to receive this award.
