      This intermediate/upper-intermediate course comprises two lessons per week and is a continuation of work begun in the first two semesters.
      Zielsetzung
      To develop general English ability with emphasis on the skills and general structural competence necessary for successful completion of the FCE and CAE examinations. To develop writing skills relevant to students' real-world needs, in particular, a letter of application and a CV.
      Inhalt
      The course is based on the textbooks Focus on CAE and First Certificate Masterclass and follows a grammatical/lexical syllabus. While emphasis is placed on the speaking skill, complementary skills such as reading, writing and listening are also developed. The course offers the language and skills training in areas relevant to the public examinations mentioned above. In addition, conventions for writing a letter of application an a CV are studied.
