The final outcome competence will be that the graduate students can perform effectively in the professional environment of both commerce and industry.
Students are placed in one of the six courses according to their intake level. The modules are progressive in that the level increases according to the number of the module, the Bridging course being the lowest and the electives the highest. Included in each module will be the appropriate input of both grammar and vocabulary.
The individual objective of this module is to develop the receptive and productive skills of reading and speaking.
Reading
The students can
- read assigned texts using a combination of techniques in order to extract relevant information.
- understand a range of appropriate texts
- extend their personal data bank of newly acquired lexis
Speaking
- use a range of language functions to give opinions, summarize, question, clarify, comment etc
