This course comprises two lessons per week and is a continuation of work begun in the first two semesters.

To develop general English ability to an intermediate/upper-intermediate level with emphasis on the skills and general structural competence necessary for successful completion of the public examinations described in Module 1a/b. To develop writing skills relevant to real-world needs, in particular a letter of application and a CV.

This course is based on exam level textbooks and follows a grammatical/lexical syllabus. Emphasis is placed on developing both speaking skills and complementary skills such as reading, writing and listening. While this course offers the language and skills training in areas relevant to the public examinations FCE, CAE and CPE, registration for these Cambridge exams is not compulsory.
