    Zielsetzung / Purpose
    The main objective of this module is to introduce students to the specific legal issues involved with international business transactions and provide them with a basic understanding of the legal implications related to international business activities. Students will be enabled to identify and basically assess legal issues with international business transactions and to address them in discussions with business lawyers.

    1. principal mechanics of international trade 2. commercial contracts in cross-border transactions (in particular sales agreements) 3. methods of financing transactions, payment systems, loan agreements 4. methods of dispute resolution in international commercial transactions 5. international protection of intellectual property (trademarks, patents, copyright, know-how) and transactions involving technology transfers 6. aspects of international criminal law 7. compliance in an international environment
