      Zielsetzung / Purpose
The bachelor thesis provides the students with a field of learn-ing for their professional qualification, in particular in the inte-gration of theory and practice. With the successful completion of the Bachelor Thesis, students demonstrate that they can apply knowledge gained during their course and can inde-pendently and methodically process and solve a real problem in an appropriate manner. At the same time, the Bachelor Thesis should also achieve the following objectives: Strengthening of Specialist Skills The students recognize a networked problem, handle it in appropriate depth and on a scientific basis and apply and integrate the knowledge acquired. Furthermore, additional specific knowledge typically needs to be acquired to deal with the Bachelor Thesis assignment appropriately. Strengthening of Method Skills The students treat complex problems within a Bachelor Theses requiring analytic thinking. Additionally the students should show that they can choose the appropriate tools (or tool) for the development of a problem solution. The bachelor thesis should be realized on the principles of problem-solving meth-odology and project management. Strengthening of Social Skills The students work on the project in close cooperation with the client and the supervising lecturer. They act professionally in this cooperation and learn to defend their work. A Bachelor thesis offers room for creative ideas and approaches to solu-tions. The students should show maturity, reliability and pur-posefulness. Strengthening of Personal Skills With the Bachelor Thesis the students learn how to deal with expectations: their own expectation as well as those of the client and the supervising lecturer. They learn to work under pressure, set priorities and accept the responsibility for their work.
