Media Library
The Media Library of the basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW offers scientific literature and digital media in the fields of art, design and interior design/scenography, as well as related theory and education. This includes extensive collections of contemporary art and culture, mostly freely accessible online.

The library's collection is geared to the needs of study, teaching and research, both in print and digital form:
In Swisscovery of the Swiss Library Service Platform (SLSP), the library's own book, journal and video holdings are listed. Via this platform you can also borrow media from the other libraries of the FHNW as well as from the courier libraries of the SLSP.
The videos, images, documents and holdings of the Digital Collections are accessible via the Integrated Catalogue (InK). The largest part of the holdings consists of documents and documentation on performance art in Switzerland. In addition, there is film and video content of cultural relevance, as well as publications from research and teaching at the HGK Basel FHNW.
The Mediathek is a junior member of the European Art Net (EAN), a member of the Arbeitskreis Museumsbibliotheken (AKMB) and a partner of the Basel Collections. On the level of data collection and production, there are connections with the Swiss Institute for Art Studies (SIK/ISEA), the Migros Culture Percentage, the Performance Art Network CH (PANCH) and Performance Art Bergen (PAB).
