A new contribution to an ongoing debate: the book describes some of the theories and practices in artistic research applied by the FHNW Academy of Art and Design.

Art research is a current topic in art and design education as well as among practising artists. Since the introduction of the Bologna Process, research activities at art universities and academies have been the topic of lively discussions, as of late especially with regard to the term “artistic research”.

With contributions by Leyla Belkaïd, Elke Bippus, Daniel Brefin, Flavia Caviezel, Mauricio Dias, Simone Etter,Beate Florenz, Melanie Franke, Alain Gloor, Damian Jurt, Hannes Rickli, Walter Riedweg, Johanna Rolshoven, and Jörg Wiesel.

The book is available from Scheidegger & Spiess Publishers or at the office of the Institute of Art and Design Education.
